Employee Spotlight

Margo Moore
This month we would like to take a moment to highlight an outstanding teacher from Childcare Network #44 in Alabaster, Alabama. Margo Moore has been a member of the Childcare Network family, as a teacher for the two year olds, for a little over two years. Ms. Margo has prior experience teaching three year olds and kindergarteners. She admits the two year olds are her favorite, because they are so loving and eager to learn! Ms. Margo describes her classroom philosophy as “Come to learn; Introduce new concepts and help them discover themselves!”
Before joining the Childcare Network family, Ms. Margo taught for 10 yrs at Trinity Christian School in Apopka, Florida. Ms. Margo also uses her many years experience as a parent to create a warm and welcoming environment in her classroom. When she is not working with young children, Ms. Margo likes to spend time decorating, playing basketball, and playing volleyball.
Theo Schaffer, Director of Childcare Network #44, brags that Ms. Margo is the hallmark teacher for their school. He believes that the environment of her classroom and the way she conducts herself is a perfect picture of what we should strive for as early childhood educators. Theo goes on to say, “Her curriculum is always structured; activities are always great. Ms. Margo’s classroom for two year olds is easily the most decorated classroom in the school. Her relationship with the families of Childcare Network #44 is also unparalleled.” According to Mr. Schaffer, students hate to leave her class. Everyone who visits, including other teachers, want to stay there.
Ms. Margo maintains a professional image, but also a very positive relationship with other staff members. The District Manager, Stephanie Caddell, says that Ms. Margo is a great mentor to all staff members at the Alabaster school. Ms. Caddell says that Ms. Margo often helps new staff members “learn the ropes.”
Ms. Caddell goes on to brag about Ms. Margo’s relationship with the families she serves saying, “The parents LOVE her. Many parents have told me that if we ever lose Margo, they will follow her whereever she goes.”
Parents are not the only ones at Childcare Network who love Ms. Margo. The children adore her. She does a good job managing the behavior of her class by keeping them engaged in activities. Ms. Margo enjoys her students too. She says, “I love to see their faces light up when they grasp something you have taught them.”
With her warm loving approach to teaching, her years as a parent, and her very likable personality, it easily makes Margo Moore our Employee Spotlight for March. Congratulations Ms. Margo!
